NTSB’s Hersman Urges EOBRs for All Commercial Trucks

The National Transportation Safety Board’s chairwoman Debbie Hersman said at a recent press conference that all commercial trucks should be outfitted with electronic onboard recorders. Her reasoning is that the electronic recorders would help monitor driver hours and reduce fatigue, which she blamed for truck accidents. Pre-2010 Engines Are Running Out

Kris-Way still has a limited supply of new pre-2010 emissions level engines for a few makes and models of trucks. Freightliner M-2 106 straight trucks, Hino 268 and 338 straight trucks, Freightliner Columbia tractors, and International Pro-Star, Trans-Star, and Dura-Star models are still available in limited quantities. Hannaford’s Guiding Stars Program Praised by Surgeon General

Dunkin’ Donuts’ New Units Arrive

Dunkin’ Donuts’ 3 new Freightliner Cascadia tandem axle tractors have arrived. Dunkin’ uses Kris-Way for their Full Service Lease program in Maine and New Hampshire. After making the switch to Kris-Way from our competition, Dunkin’ has remained a loyal customer. When Dunkin’ Donuts made the switch to Kris-Way in 2005 they were looking for a more complete service program. Kris-Way’s 24 hour facilities, competitive fuel program, on site parking, and individual customer attention made the difference.

Downeast Energy Continues Long Term Relationship

Downeast Energy, a Kris-Way customer since 1980, recently renewed 4 tractors with Kris-Way. Downeast selected the Kenwworth T-800 model. Downeast runs a fleet of 7 tractors, all of which are under Full Service Lease through Kris-Way. Downeast Energy services Maine and New Hampshire and was founded in 1908.
